Tyler Hagood, Brianna’s husband, has planned a surprise birthday weekend excursion for her. The prospect of having to unwind excites them both. They went to a fast-food drive-thru to get some food when they observed a dog walking about the parking area without a collar.

Brianna says, “I glanced at Tyler and said, ‘BABE!'” “‘No, honey, let’s just go to the beach,’ he murmured, looking at me. I slightly raised my voice in enthusiasm as he walked to the window, remembering, “I can save that puppy if I want to because it’s my birthday! “At first, the cashier who opened the window seemed surprised, then turned to Tyler and said, ‘She should save that puppy.’ It’s her birthday, and the present has been here since the morning!’ “That was all the motivation I needed,” she went on.

Brianna decided to approach the dog, and the dog approached her as well, wagging his tail. Brianna decided to take him with them after spending some time in the parking lot. “Tyler got our lunch and pulled out of the drive-through next to where I was sitting with the sweetest boy,” she explained.

“I opened the car door and asked if he wanted to come in and before I could finish asking, he had hopped in and sat down… There was never a time when I had to make a choice. I knew I wasn’t going to leave this puppy on the side of the road as soon as I got out of my car.” When the couple asked around at local establishments, everyone reported the same thing. The dog had wandered up that morning, and no one seemed to know who he belonged to or where he had come from.

The pair made a pit stop at a veterinarian’s office to see if the dog had been microchipped. He wasn’t, so they purchase him everything he’ll need for their beach weekend. They’d planned to bring their new puppy with them, so they’d already reserved a dog-friendly room at the hotel, which made Brianna feel like it was fate.

The couple spent the night cuddling with the dog, and he joined them for the birthday party the next day. He had a great time on the boat and throughout the day, acting as if he’d known the couple his entire life. Brianna’s post drew the attention of the dog’s family, so the couple traveled to their home and dropped the puppy off. They discovered his name was Blu and that he’d gotten out of his family’s yard while they were at work.

Brianna was sad to say goodbye to her new furry best friend, but she was relieved that she was able to reconnect him with his family. They returned home after an exciting weekend, but the story was far from ended. Blu’s relatives contacted him again the next week. They recognized things weren’t working out for him, so they asked if the couple would be willing to adopt him, no matter how difficult it was. Brianna stated, “Blu came to our house on Thursday and he fits right in.” “At all times, he keeps his hand on my hip… He’s the sweetest kid, and we adore him.”
Brianna had the sensation all weekend that she was supposed to find Blu, and it turns out she was correct.
