Did you get that there is no such thing as having too many puppies? Our proof is presented in the shape of an endearing film that was uploaded to YouTube by Kingwana’s Basenjis. The title of the movie, which is quite aptly titled 16 Basenji Puppies All Living Under the Same Roof, refers to three separate litters of the breed.
It’s hard to put our finger on it, but we get the impression that there are more than sixteen puppies here. In all honesty, the video seems to have been ripped straight from an episode of 101 Dalmatians. S kipping the spots and the villainous character. Even with all of their energy, the puppies need to rest their little bodies from time to time. Unbelievably, it appears as though they all go to sleep at the same moment, creating what looks like a large mound of dozing puppies. The only thing that may make this even cuter is if they were both dressed in matching footie pajamas.
Fun fact, you guys. Basenjis are barkless dogs. You got that right. They don’t make any noise, which could seem like a relief when you live in the same house with sixteen of them. However, unlike what you may believe, it is not a lovely silence here. Because, although they do not bark in the traditional sense, they do make noise. Basenjis are famous for the unique yodeling sound that they make. Singing dogs? Every single one of these! Take a listen to this clip if you’ve ever been curious about the sound that a yodeling puppy makes. After that, pause for a moment and try to picture that sound times sixteen. I simply cannot even.
