One day, as they routinely do, Minnie and her mother, Peggy Kern, decided to go for a stroll in the neighborhood. At first, everything appeared to be operating normally; however, as some time passed, Kern observed that people were staring and pointing at them more frequently than they normally do.
Kern is aware that Minnie is adorable, so she anticipates that other people will admire her, but this was on a completely different level, and she couldn’t figure out why. “I had my headphones in and was listening to an audiobook, so I wasn’t sure what was going on and why people were staring at us more than normal,” Kern said in an interview with The Dodo. After a while, Minnie turned to gaze at her mother, at which point Kern immediately broke out into a fit of laughter.
Minnie had been walking for a while when she came across a pacifier that was laying on the ground. She picked it up and decided to bring it along with her. When others walked by her, they saw what appeared to be a dog suckling on a pacifier, and they couldn’t get enough of it, which is understandable given the circumstances.
Kern remarked that “everything made perfect sense.” After they had determined the answer to the riddle, Kern and Minnie proceeded with their walk. Because Minnie enjoyed the pacifier so much, her mother gave it to her to keep for a time, but after a while, she became overly thrilled and began to damage it.
In the end, she chewed it and broke a piece off, so Kern had to take it away to prevent her from swallowing anything. Minnie found a way to make Kern’s walk that day more entertaining, and she brought smiles to the faces of everyone she saw along the route. Kern had been anticipating a rather routine stroll.
