This cute chocolate Labrador puppy discovered the ideal spot to cool down. Meet Cocoa, a TikTok celebrity who has repurposed the refrigerator position! In the Aug. 2 video, Cocoa simply moves to the cool location after spotting it.
Nothing out of the ordinary, save the fact that the location was within their family refrigerator. When the fridge door is left open for a while, the cunning dog crawls inside the bottom of the refrigerator, where the pull-out drawer once was, and takes a cold, floofy sleep.
In the video, her human can be heard saying, “Oh what, getting in this time?” before laughing and exclaiming, “That’s new!” Cocoa gives her mom those cute puppy dog eyes when she is told she can’t stay in there and then just ignores her. You are not to blame, Cocoa! You made a terrific choice!
The charming video was uploaded to Cocoa’s account, cocoathesingletonlab, and it has already received over 1 million views and hundreds of comments. And there’s more: The account is rife with amusing videos of Cocoa and Shelby, the puppy that looks exactly like her mother.
It demonstrates that the fridge wasn’t an isolated incident. In a subsequent video, Cocoa can be seen plainly worsening (or perhaps improving?) her well-known naptime refrigerator habit. Mom, open the door to the “cold place” already!
Okay, so perhaps not the ideal location for a dog. But Cocoa has her justifications. Dogs overheat more quickly than people because they have fewer sweat glands, thus Cocoa’s desire to enter the refrigerator is not all that unusual for a pet. Here are some other methods to keep your dog from overheating as it is neither cool nor safe for humans to keep their pets in refrigerators.
