One pooch in Massachusetts is trying out for the Red Sox for the upcoming season after producing a powerful hit with just a wiffle bat and a dog ball.
Blue Heeler Pepper, also known as Big Pupi, holds the bat in her mouth as she paces the batter’s box while waiting for the pitch. When the pitch comes, she fiercely swings the bat back and makes expert contact, sending the ball soaring.
The video, which was first shared on Instagram by Melis Lawrence, initially received over 12K views before being picked up by the TikTok channel Barstool Sports, which then posted it with the ironic caption “How does this affect Air Bud’s legacy?” and set it to an appropriate baseball commentary sound bite. The video has since received over 16 million views.
