A swimming pool and a significant number of tennis balls are essential components of a memorable birthday celebration for a golden retriever.
The consequence of this was that for three hours, water-loving goldens spent their time diving into the pool in pursuit of the fuzzy spheres. At the very least, that’s what went down at the birthday party that Camille Griffith threw for her golden, Hudson.
Griffith demonstrates how she prepared for the show on her personal TikTok account from the previous week. She emptied two boxes full of tennis balls—a total of 200—into the swimming pool after purchasing them. The idea was straightforward yet smart, and I can’t think of a better approach to ensure that your dog has a good time while still wearing him out thoroughly than the one outlined in this plan.
My personal favorite is the golden at the 14-second mark who dives into the water in slow motion, possibly giving us a preview of his future profession as a dock diver. The fun video of the pool party has been viewed 6.6 million times up to this point.
In addition to all of the exciting activities in the pool, the guests—most of whom were Hudson’s siblings, who are now 1 year old—enjoyed a dog charcuterie (bark-uterie) board and some dog-friendly cake. The only thing that was really lacking was some dog beer, but I’m guessing all of those dogs are underage.
