Every night, a stray puppy sits eagerly outside the doors of a chain restaurant, with her eyes full of hope.
She knows that one of the friendly Subway employees will put on a pair of gloves and prepare a customized lunch for her, free of charge, in a couple of seconds. The cute puppy has been dubbed “Subway Sally” since she has never missed a visit in a year.
Kxnuko, a TikTok user who works at Sally’s favorite restaurant, posted a video of the dog’s adorable routine a week ago. With nearly 3 million views on the app alone, the little footage has gone viral.
Sally, on the other hand, has no reservations about testing out the other restaurants in the area, even though she knows she’ll get a meal and some fresh water at the sandwich shop. In his video, Kxnuko explains, “If we’re too late to give her food, she’ll go across the street to Taco Bell.”
Subway Sally appears to be too tidy to be a stray, according to some commenters, implying that she has a home and sneaks out for treats on the side. In a follow-up video, Kxnuko refutes these claims, claiming that she is cared for by the community. Sally’s lustrous coat is thanks to a woman who owns a local flower shop who bathes her on occasion.
Sally’s existence on the streets of Portales, New Mexico, remains challenging. Sally has had four litters, according to Kxnuko, since he started working at that Subway location.
Sally always seems to find her way back to the restaurant, despite previous rescue attempts.
Kxnuko stated in a comment on one of his videos, “Multiple people have tried to take her, but she never wants to go.” “I believe she has a regular sleeping and feeding routine for her puppies.”
Sally isn’t the only stray dog in need of aid in his community, according to Kxnuko, but he and his coworkers will care for her as long as she needs it. In a comment, he added, “She is a member of the community.”
