Life on the streets is harsh, but a stray dog named Sisu realized that having the company of a fuzzy purple unicorn would make life a bit easier.
Sisu desired the plush toy more than anything else, even if it meant stealing it.

Sisu attempted to steal the unicorn toy from a Dollar General in North Carolina five times last week. But every time he reached for it, staff would notice him and remove the toy from the shelf. When it became clear that Sisu was not going to give up, the Dollar General employee sought assistance from Duplin County Animal Services.

“We got a call from our communications center that Sisu was at a Dollar General going in and taking a unicorn for the fifth time,” Duplin County Animal Services supervisor Joe Newburn told The Dodo. “At long last, they had to shut the door and refuse to let him in.” She bought the unicorn when my officer arrived and discovered how badly he desired it.”

Purchasing the toy seemed like the correct thing to do for animal control officer Samantha Lane. Newburn explained, “She was just buying the unicorn because that’s what she does.” “She does that for every animal she comes into contact with.”
Nobody knows why Sisu is so infatuated with unicorns, but they believe it has something to do with his previous home. And now that the 1-year-old dog has his ideal toy, he isn’t going to give it up.
Newburn said, “He’s always with that thing.” “The only time he doesn’t touch anything is when it’s filthy.” But after you clean it up and wash it, it’s back to being his pal.”

Sisu and his unicorn are on their way to Lab Rescue of North Carolina, where they will be able to help him with his aggressiveness issues with other male dogs. He’ll travel to his forever home after he’s cleared.
Newburn described him as a “very good dog.” “He enjoys playing and is highly intelligent.” He sits, stays, and exchanges handshakes. He has impeccable manners.”
Those who are fortunate enough to adopt Sisu will receive two best companions for the price of one.
