When we instruct our dogs to get in the car, they ultimately figure out where we’re heading. Our dogs know where they’re going, whether it’s to the dog park, the beach, or the clinic. It’s incredible how dogs can correlate different places they see in the car with where they’re going!

You must use caution, as our pets do not often enjoy visits to the veterinarian. This golden retriever isn’t thrilled to be going to the vet, and we sympathize with him. Lord Cartier, a golden retriever from North Carolina, is here to meet you. Cartier is unquestionably a perceptive furry. There’s no deceiving him; he has a great feel of where his owners are bringing him.

When Cartier’s owners had to take him to the vet, they knew it would be difficult. He turned to stone the moment he learned where his owners had taken him. You can see how shocked he is to learn that he is not in the dog park, but rather at the veterinarian’s office. Cartier would not even budge as his adoring owners tried to get him out of the car.
We understand what it’s like to despise going to the doctor. It isn’t the most comfortable place to be, to be sure. So we completely understand Cartier’s aversion to getting out of the automobile. In the amusing video, his eyes say it all. Cartier is frozen to the car seat, his hairy face painted with every ounce of anxiety.

Cartier remains attached to the seat even when his owner tries to physically remove him. “No way am I letting my owners take me to the dreaded doctor’s office,” he’s undoubtedly thinking to himself… Sorry, Cartier, but there are times when you have to do things you don’t want to do.
This wonderful video has almost 2 million views on YouTube, indicating that it has surely caught our hearts. When you see it for yourself, you’ll sympathize with Lord Cartier. Golden retrievers are a particularly bright breed; in fact, they are the fourth smartest dog breed in the world! So it’s understandable that Cartier would be aware of his owners’ plans. Cartier, you’re a clever cookie.
We’re sure it’s always a battle for his owners to get him to the vet after watching this video. Cartier has the image of the vet etched in his mind, so there’s no deceiving this golden smarty. Maybe his owners will come up with a fresh technique to get him happy about going to the vet next time!
Lord Cartier may be a Lord, but he still has to overcome his dread of the veterinarian. We hope Cartier didn’t have too much anxiety during her appointment! This lovely video is not to be missed.
