When we instruct our dogs to get in the car, they ultimately figure out where we’re heading. Our dogs know where they’re going, whether it’s to the dog park, the beach, or the clinic. It’s incredible how dogs can correlate different places they see in the car with where they’re going!

There’s no deceiving him; he has a great feel of where his owners are bringing him.
When Cartier’s owners had to take him to the vet, they knew it would be difficult. He turned to stone the moment he learned where his owners had taken him. You can see how shocked he is to learn that he is not in the dog park, but rather at the veterinarian’s office. Cartier would not even budge as his adoring owners tried to get him out of the car.
We understand what it’s like to despise going to the doctor. It isn’t the most comfortable place to be, to be sure. So we completely understand Cartier’s aversion to getting out of the automobile. Cartier remains attached to the seat even when his owner tries to physically remove him. “No way am I letting my owners take me to the dreaded doctor’s office,” he’s undoubtedly thinking to himself… Sorry, Cartier, but there are times when you have to do things you don’t want to do.
