Many stray animals exist around the globe, and many of them are hungry, sick, or injured. Unfortunately, it is impossible to assist everyone. However, a dog in Ceará, Brazil, decided to change his fate and strolled into Vet Vip, a veterinarian clinic. It’s difficult to fathom how the doggo figured out where to go. The dog was fortunate to discover a veterinarian named Dayse Ferreira da Silva who was willing to help him right away.

The wonderful veterinarian inspected the dog and directed him to the examining room. He promptly obeyed her directions, much to her amazement.
“Quindim was a stray dog,” Dayse Ferreira da Silva told Bored Panda. I watched him walking and then laying down and napping through the clinic’s external cameras. He then stood up and walked over to the office door. I knew he needed assistance right away, so I invited him in. He graciously allowed me to examine him, and after several testing, he was diagnosed with a transmissible venereal tumor, which is a common and very contagious condition in stray dogs.”

“He’s doing great now, responding perfectly to chemotherapies and the medications he’s been taking, with no side effects so far.” Quindim is currently available for adoption. We have around ten people from Brazil who are all eager in providing him with a loving home, but we will prioritize people who live close to our city because many flights were canceled due to the epidemic, making it difficult to move him to another place. He is affectionate, active, and extroverted, and he runs, plays, and socializes well with other animals.”

There are a lot of animals out there looking for a loving family and a warm place to call home. So, if you’re thinking about getting a pet for your family, please consider adopting rather than buying! Not only would you gain a new family member who would adore you, but you would also be saving a life and giving them a second opportunity.

So, what are your thoughts about Quindim’s story? Have you ever heard or seen something like this before? Tell us in the comments section below, and if you wish to and are able, please help Quindim or any other stray by giving or volunteering at a local animal shelter!
