A young Border Collie had just recently begun his sheepdog training, but in order to demonstrate his ability to herd, the overachiever herded an entire flock of sheep directly into his family’s home!
Rosalyn Edwards was in the kitchen of her family’s farmhouse when she began to hear unusual noises. She investigated more and discovered that she was not alone. In her investigation, she discovered that Rocky, the family’s 7-month-old Border Collie, had successfully herded the entire flock of sheep into the home with a swagger.

Edwards’ husband and her kid had gone out into the field and forgotten to close the gate. Consequently, the sheepdog in training assumed responsibility for herding the flock and ushering them within.
“At the time, I thought it was amusing, but there was a lot of wee, poo, and dirt all over the place.” “It took me a little longer to get everything cleaned up,” she admitted to The Telegraph.

The sheep – all nine of them – were ultimately herded back outside via the front porch, and the family began the lengthy and arduous task of cleaning up after them.
Rocky, according to her, was extremely happy with himself, but she noted that he would benefit from additional training. The expression “taking the sheep home” took on new significance for her thanks to him.
