An 11-year-old kid and a 77-year-old grandmother were located and saved by Jake Voter and Koda. After finding two missing individuals in just three days, a game warden in Maine and his dog Koda are pleased with their successful week. Warden Just hours after she was reported missing, Jake Voter and Koda used scent tracking to find an 11-year-old girl in St. Albans.

Voter said of the location where he and Koda discovered the young girl, “I never would have been there without the dog.” A 77-year-old Bremen lady who had been missing since at least Saturday was saved by the pair, according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

After collapsing and spending two nights in the woods behind her house, the woman was aware but dehydrated, according to the department. “What happened last week definitely won’t happen again in my career,” the voter told News Center. “Just the fact that we had the chance to search for two persons in three days and they were in the region I was seeking is uncommon.”

Voter and Koda had only been coworkers for one year. We try not to become too involved, but it’s difficult not to. We are a team, and he is the most essential member. At times, I feel like the team’s idiot. “You must have faith in your dog.”

As the number of missing person cases in the area grew since the start of the epidemic, game warden officers recently began conducting more K9 searches.
K9 expert and wildlife warden Lucas Bellanceau told the publication, “When the dog does their part and the handler does his part, it’s an incredible feeling of self-worth and importance.”
