The best friend of man has recently made a new best friend.
A video that has gone viral shows a rescued dog named Buddy who becomes so enthusiastic when he anticipates being thrown a ball that he needs to start dancing. Since it was uploaded to Facebook on June 7th, the video of Buddy using a device called GoDogGo to throw balls has been viewed over 72 million times and has over 1.3 million shares.

“Once he learned how to play with it and use it himself, he just became extremely delighted by it,” Buddy’s human, Rennie Berchard, told ABC News. “Once he learned how to play with it and use it himself, he just became very excited by it.” “I believe that the main source of joy for him is the realization that he can complete the task without assistance from anyone else. However, he enjoys the feeling of suspense.”

Some commenters were indeed critical of Berchard for buying Buddy the machine; nevertheless, “Buddy” reacted to each and every one of those criticisms within the post’s comment section. Some people were extremely critical of Berchard because they believed that she ought to be tossing a ball for Buddy rather than using a machine. Others were concerned that the machine was the only form of exercise that Buddy was getting.

And although someone was clearly present to capture the video, several people were concerned that Buddy was using the equipment on his own without being supervised. However, the vast majority of commenters thought both the video and the device used to throw the ball were pretty cool.
Additionally, the film illustrates the happiness that adopting a rescued dog can bring into one’s life. The Humane Society maintains a directory of shelters and rescue organizations in each state that are capable of adopting dogs and puppies, such as Buddy.
