The mothers’ conditions and treatment in the “puppy factories” are appalling, and if a puppy does not meet their “standards,” it is abandoned to its fate. Bertram, a 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy, was abandoned by his breeders because he was “too big to sell.”

Bertram was spotted on Petfinder by a New York artist who fell in love with his images right away and chose to adopt him, as there are many wonderful individuals in the world. “To receive it, I flew to Tulsa, which was quite an adventure.” They were heartbroken when they had to say their goodbyes at the shelter, but he had been awarded a scholarship.

Kathy claims she didn’t believe in love at first sight because it seemed mysterious and impossible to her until Bertram struck her.
“When he was a puppy, the expression on his face whispered to me, I knew it would be him,” Kathy said. “His small face, his blue bandana, his gigantic paws, and his eyes staring in different directions, when he was a puppy, the expression on his face whispered to me, I knew it would be him.”

Kathy’s devotion to her dog led her to create an Instagram account for her and video all of her daily activities. Bertram’s images have become well-known and have taken over social media.
Bertie’s mother isn’t surprised that her puppy has gained so much attention. She comes to the following conclusion: “Bert is fantastic and makes people happy; the internet was created for beautiful animals, and people require an antidote to all that is awful.” Many people visit Kathy’s art gallery to meet Bertie and take photos with him, or to meet him with their pets.

“At the art gallery, he spends the entire day with me, which he enjoys,” she continued. He takes me to the dog park every afternoon, which is his favorite spot.”
