The beach is a great location to relax and forget about your worries. The sun and the sea are an excellent combo for unwinding. While most of us would prefer not to play in the sand because it gets everywhere no matter how careful we are, some individuals enjoy it. Kids and dogs, on the other hand, enjoy playing in the sand.

While most children enjoy digging in the sand and building massive sandcastles and other buildings, our dogs simply enjoy digging. Angus, a small golden retriever, is no exception. He was pleased to be digging up a hole in the sand in one video taken at the beach.
Unfortunately for Angus, the tide was not on his side. Anyone who has ever gone to the beach and attempted to play in the sand knows how difficult it can be with the changing tides. The good sand for building structurally sound sandcastles is frequently found along the shoreline when it is damp. However, getting close to the water’s edge has significant drawbacks. When the tide is out, you can construct and play without risk, but when the tide comes in, it’s a race against the waves.

And, unfortunately for Angus, all of his efforts in digging his amazing hole were useless. The tide washed in and filled it up with water as soon as he dug it. The poor little puppy was inconsolably distressed, and we can’t say we blame him. In the video, he appears to be perplexed as to where his hole went as the water came in.
It’s too bad no one could explain how tides work to him since it’s heartbreaking to see how upset he became when the hole he worked so hard to dig vanished. The sweet thing is that he tried to defend it against the incoming tide at one point. He even tries to nibble at the water in the video, barking at it as though he’s trying to get it to stay away from his burrow. It’s just too precious to waste time watching it. Dogs are such sweet, innocent creatures. We haven’t earned them!
