In 2017, the Malone family took in their second rescue dog, and their daughter Katie fell head over heels for him. An adorable puppy makes it difficult not to. Puppies are energetic little animals, but because they frequently struggle to regulate their energy levels, they occasionally pass out. Right there in Katie’s arms, Baby Oakley dozed out, creating the ideal scenario for a cute video of the two.

Because Katie is an expert in lullabies, she chose to sing some to welcome her new best buddy to his forever home. Purely for being so damn wholesome, the pair’s video has since become extremely popular and has been shared across numerous media. The young girl sings, “Lullaby, sweetie pie, I love you so-oo much.” The puppy is now sleeping peacefully, but we’re hoping he can still feel some of this affection.

When she rubs the puppy’s back and says, “You’re a little petunia,” while gazing lovingly at him, it is the cutest thing ever. Since her Labrador/Basset hound mix Mae had been living with the family for years, little Katie is already familiar with the finest ways to interact with dogs.

Katie is then asked if she wants to sing another lullaby after confirming with her mother that it was a wonderful one. After all, the dog appears to be in a calm state, and everyone is aware that when he wakes up, he won’t be interested in singing. To the melody of the well-known lullaby by Brahms, Katie sings her own words.

Mom praises her “wonderful” song while the dog snores sleepily. He may simply be attempting to sing along but is too exhausted to do so. A whopping 54k+ comments were left on the original video on Malone’s Facebook page, most of which were heart emojis or other adorable gifs. However, a lot of people praised Katie for both her sweetness and her singing.
