Meet Odin, a Mexican dog that is small in every sense but big when it comes to expressing his emotions, especially when he’s joyful.
While his owners lavish him with affection daily, they recently offered him another cause to smile. They surprised him with a “birthday” party!
Odin was adopted three years ago by Joyce Cetina and her family. Every day since his arrival, the dog has demonstrated to his owners that they made the right decision in taking him home.
“He’s a dependable companion.” Joyce told The Dodo, “He loves to cuddle and play.”
The Cetina family decided to go all out this year to commemorate Odin’s birthday, which was earlier this month. They surprised the dog with a party to show him how much they love him.
And they did a very good job at it since Odin was taken aback. They recalled his special day, which made the dog very happy!
The Cetinas installed decorations and purchased a dog-friendly cake. Then they called Odin out to see what had happened.
“At first, he seemed perplexed. “He had no idea what was going on,” Joyce said of the dog’s reaction. “Then he realized everyone was looking at him, and the cake was for him.” He was overjoyed.”
Every birthday, of course, requires a “Happy Birthday” song, and Odin’s was no exception. Odin joyfully gobbled his cake while his family sang to him!
Odin was also given various gifts by the Cetinas, which he appreciated. Even so, the dog’s favorite gift that day was the numerous licks and hugs he received from his family.
Odin, like his owners, is deserving of nothing less.
Odin’s “birthday” is the anniversary of the day they adopted him — the day they received the most precious present they’ve ever received.
“Of course, Odin is adored and spoiled all year,” Joyce explained. “However, this is a significant day for us because it is the day he entered our life.” He brings us much joy.”
