Despite being a Great Dane, Brody is still unaware of his size. The 180-pound dog often gets into problems because he acts like a little puppy. “My kids adore this enormous horse-like dog. He frequently knocks my 10-year-old down,” Brody’s neighbor Barbara Nebenfuhr Hoffer told The Dodo. He’s incredibly cute and in your face all the time. He merely desires to drool on you while trying to sit on your lap.

Hoffer was visiting Brody’s owner last year when the large dog walked outside to say hello. The owner of Brody had just wrapped a sizable spiderweb around the front of her porch as part of her Halloween preparations. Being the inquisitive hound that he is, Brody chose to inspect the fluffy white substance.

Hoffer recalled, “I kept watching him put his face into the spiderweb as we were standing there talking.” “And he simply continued pushing it while walking in it. Oh my God, what is this dog going to do? I rushed to grab my camera. Brody believed he was small enough to escape the web, but the more he struggled to do so, the more entangled he became.

Hoffer recalled that as the dog continued to walk through it, his entire face began to become entangled in it. He continued to circle the porch, which just made matters worse by tearing down the entire web. Brody was able to demolish the web in a matter of minutes even though it had taken hours to hang.

Finally breaking free of the web, Brody dumped it on the ground in bits. Although Great Danes are extremely affectionate, Hoffer noted that intelligence isn’t necessarily associated with them. But at least she had a good, long laugh from it, Brody’s mother has since forgiven him for trashing her Halloween decorations.
