Dogs can express gratitude in a very straightforward and abundant way. Dogs have a propensity to express a great deal of affection toward us for relatively insignificant actions, such as providing them with food or taking them for a walk. One can only imagine how grateful a dog would be to the person who pulled them from certain death and gave them another chance at life.

A bush fire broke out at a homeless encampment, and Smokey was a little puppy who was rescued from the blaze. He suffered some very serious burns and was rushed to the Jupiter Pet Emergency and Specialist Center to receive care for them. There, he received the necessary medical care that he required to start feeling better and make a full recovery. And it was this act of kindness that Smokey had no intention of forgetting any time soon.

Smokey was extremely thankful to everyone who assisted him along the way, but he felt an especially strong sense of gratitude toward Dr. Latimer and the rest of the nursing staff who worked together to save his life. A very sweet video shows Smokey, who is on the road to recovery, expressing his gratitude to the medical care that was responsible for saving his life. It is practically impossible not to get a little misty-eyed when you watch the joyful puppy as he wildly wags his tail and showers Dr. Latimer with a ton of dog kisses. Dogs are, without a doubt, the greatest.
