How would you define the happiest day of your life? One service dog was given the day off from work to aid in the recuperation of a particular little girl. A Great Dane had his very own “Best Day Ever” because of BarkPost and his unwavering love for his human. Bring Kleenex since this narrative is so wonderful that it may lead you to cry.

You only need to listen to Bella’s mother to realize the impact George the Great Dane had on his human, Bella. According to Rachel Burton of BarkPost,
“He has saved my daughter’s life.”
Bella Burton is a young woman who is both precocious and tough. Morquio Syndrome is an uncommon condition that she has. Bella spent her childhood navigating the world with crutches or a wheelchair due to a genetic disease. When she met George, everything changed.

Bella and her mother worked at Service Dog Project as volunteers. Great Danes are trained to be service dogs by this Massachusetts-based organization. Bella met her connection with George after a year of helping.
Megan Kokaras, a Service Dog Project trainer, said they hit it off right away. Bella climbed up and sat close to George one day. The puppy sat in her lap and gazed sweetly at her. After that, it was all history.

George was trained to assist Bella is becoming more mobility after they matched. “The first time I walked with George, it was great,” Bella told BarkPost. I hadn’t walked in a long time, and now I get to.”
George is now assisting Bella as she walks. He serves as a crutch and a constant source of physical support. Bella thought her dog deserved a day off after all his hard work. She might be able to fit him with a saddle. Those photographs fascinate us.
“George puts in a lot of effort,” she remarked. “He made me more self-sufficient than I could have imagined.” BarkPost concurred. They presented George with a prize.

George had a memorable day. He, Bella, and Bella’s mother first proceeded to Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel. George was greeted as a hero. As they arrived, hotel employees clapped and applauded.
George does not get to eat human food because he is usually on the job. It was a different day for him on his greatest day. George and his family went to Wahlburgers, where George devoured a full platter of burgers. Yum! He also went to a candy store, where he got additional treats.
Bella and George then went sledding, which is one of their favorite activities. They went outside to play in the snow, and George even dressed up in a fine blue coat.

Following the excitement, they returned to the hotel, where George was greeted with a plethora of toys and a colossal bed in their suite.
George is certainly deserving of such a beautiful day for all of his hard work. Take a look at the touching video below!
