After dazzling his human audience with a lively dance while decked out in a tutu, this enthusiastic dog is more than deserving of some ballet PUPS. On May 13, the dancing dog Dexter was relaxing at his house in Sheffield, North Yorks, when he got the urge to perform some remarkable dance steps. The Dollie, which is a cross between a Dalmatian and a collie and is six years old, began jumping around in front of its owner, Alison Smith, as though it was chasing light on the ceiling.

Dexter, intent on snagging the “shiny” that was floating above him, skillfully launched himself into the air many times and even managed to fit in a full 180-degree spin. Alison, the proprietor of Very Important Pets and a pet sitter, shared the following story: “Dexter had been hopping and spinning for a few minutes, and I suddenly recalled that I had a tutu upstairs.”

“I had just attended a costume party dressed as Ace Ventura, and I thought he would look great whirling with it on. “He wasn’t phased by it at all and stepped into it with no problem. After that, he started twirling again, which provided us with a great deal of laughter.

“The idea that something Dexter regularly does could have caused so many people to laugh and grin just due to the fact that he was wearing a tutu is totally incomprehensible.” It’s wonderful, and it makes me happy to think that he can make other people as happy as he has made us.
