A video that just went viral shows an exceptionally intelligent dog who will go to any length to avoid going to the vet. Lulu, a Shiba Inu from New Zealand, understood there was only one way to avoid having to go to the vet. She had to pretend to be dead.

Micki, Lulu’s owner, is seen entering the bedroom and finding the dog still on the bed. “Hello, Lulu!” “Are you going to wake up?” Micki asks after repeated calls. The dog is adamant about finishing the performance.
Lulu’s performance is quite convincing. Despite her owner’s persuasion and a few stomach and head scratches, she remains still. Micki says, “We have to go to the vet soon.” “It’s time for you to get up.” “Are you acting as though you’re dead?”

She even cries “Boo!” a few times, but Lulu does not move. Micki isn’t easy to deceive, so that’s a good thing. She’d probably already be on the phone with the vet if she was. Micki removes the dog’s blankets, but he continues to play possum. Not a single paw twitches until her owner comes up with a solution.
Lulu may be intelligent, but her owner is well aware of her flaws. “Well, that’s life. “Treats aren’t given to dead puppies,” she explains. Lulu is in fantastic health right away. Her eyes flutter open, and she jumps to her feet, eagerly sniffing the bag of food.

There are numerous viral videos of dogs discovering, much to their dismay, that they are on their way to a dreaded medical appointment. Some people sigh and shake their heads. Some people, like Lulu, believe that it’s preferable to pretend to be dead. Some people appear to believe that if they close their eyes, they’ll wake up and discover it’s all a nightmare.
