Since Ted was a young child, Elvis the dog has been passing on his knowledge on how to behave like a puppy to Ted. They are brothers who compete with one another over sticks and toys while simultaneously watching out for one another. Their mother, Mikaela, has been present from the beginning of their relationship and has witnessed its development from that point forward. When Elvis first saw Ted, he had a feeling that the child was someone special, so he took care to treat him with admiration.

Since that time, Elvis has never been seen away from Ted’s side. As soon as Ted was able to crawl, he imitated Elvis by carrying objects in his mouth and crawling around the home in the same manner as Elvis. “It was the same as if I had two dogs.” When Mikaela is with both of them, she is guaranteed to have a good time. Elvis receives daily instruction from her, and Ted is always present. Ted will do as she asks, sitting or lying down when she tells Elvis to do so.

Ted and Elvis have been friends for almost three years, and throughout that time, Ted’s level of chattiness has increased significantly. When Mikaela overheard Ted refer to Elvis as his brother, she felt a warm and fuzzy feeling in her chest.

Elvis has started to miss Ted whenever he is absent from the house because Ted now attends preschool. Elvis is ecstatic to see Mikaela and Ted return home, and he meets them at the door to welcome them both in.

Ted gives Elvis a hug and a goodnight wish each and every night before he goes to bed. Mikaela is aware that the presence of both of them in her life is a source of great blessing and happiness for her.
