Just before the subway came into Manhattan, New York City, USA, a dog risked his life by jumping off the tracks to save his blind owner’s life.
Mr. Cecil Williams, 61, and his canine Orlando were thankfully unscathed despite being passed by a train above them. Mr. Williams’ life was turned upside down when he was shocked and fell onto the rails on his way to the dentist.

Mr. Williams stated, “Orlando attempted to hold me back and save my life.” When he fell, the dog did not hesitate to chase him down.
According to Matthew Martin, who witnessed the incident, Orlando leaped down and attempted to wake Mr. Williams up as the train neared. “The canine kissed the proprietor and tried to get him out of danger.”
The train driver was alerted by substantiations, who asked for the train to be slowed down. Both survived the fall into the fosse of the racetrack. Paramedics on the scene sent Mr. Williams to the hospital, and Orlando was unharmed.

Mr. Williams is still unsure why he passed out on the tracks, but feels it was due to a medication reaction. Despite his serious injuries, he felt secure because he was accompanied by a devoted canine companion.
Mr. Williams’ canine buddy, Orlando, is his backup. Since 1995, he has been without an eye. Orlando is a true hero as well as a devout dog.
