Hugs and the color red are two of her favorite things. Eclipse is the Seattle Bus Riding Dog! What’s so great about a city dog taking the bus, you might wonder? Eclipse takes the D-line to the local dog park five stations by herself! Eclipse grew tired of waiting for her owner, Jeff Young, to finish his morning cigarette after riding with him every day. She chose to get on by herself one day and hasn’t stopped since!

But don’t worry, even if Young misses the bus now and then, Eclipse is never alone on the bus! She’s a Seattle celebrity dog, and her fellow passengers are happy to keep an eye out for her.
The five-year-old “Black Mastador” trots down the aisle until she finds an open seat. She frequently sits next to strangers on the bus, utilizing her canine charms to turn them become friends by the time her stop arrives!

Eclipse has become such a part of Seattle culture that the King County Department of Transportation even made a music video about him! It shows her having a fun day off in Seattle, “visiting wherever she wants to go using the new Puget Sound Trip Planner App,” according to the video. Enjoy!
