Since starting to accompany his mother to work in February 2021, Jon Snow has chosen it as his favorite activity. He enjoys getting to know all of her employees and hanging out in the workplace; earlier this year, he also began participating in office treasure hunts.
Heidy Lopez, Jon’s mother, is employed by an Illinois moving company. When people move, they always get rid of a lot of stuff, and a lot of it finds up temporarily in the business’s warehouse. Jon came across the warehouse earlier this year while wandering and decided that the best way to repay his mother for all of the wonderful trips to the workplace was to bring her goodies.
Nowadays, whenever Jon is at the office, he goes to the warehouse, scours all the items, and then brings whatever he decides to mom’s desk. Everyone is eagerly awaiting to see what he would bring her next because he has given her every kind of gift imaginable, big and small, cute and odd. According to Lopez, “He is happy and proud of his things.” He takes great pleasure in everything he brings. It’s adorable. The oddest and funniest, in my opinion, was an orthopedic boot. It was simultaneously humorous and repulsive.
Jon’s gifts are hardly ever straightforward. He has given his mother numerous gifts, including a hose, rocking horse, step stool, cooler, basketball hoop, and many others. Once, when Jon was little, his mother heard a lot of banging and thought he was dragging something large to her. A sled, that is. Jon’s finds are never dull, that much is certain.
Another worker, Frank, is constantly around to watch Jon while he looks for treasures in the warehouse. He frequently assists Jon before following him back to his mother’s desk. After Jon has shown his mom and the rest of the workplace his treasures, he is generally the one who has to drag them back to the warehouse.
Lopez remarked, “Everyone here enjoys watching Jon schlep his goodies. Everyone’s favorite part of the day is this. Jon just wants to make sure his mother is aware of how much he enjoys seeing her at work. Some canines would accomplish this by lavishing their mothers with kisses. Jon accomplishes this by bringing her items that others have discarded. To each his or her own.
