A very young dog and only a few months away from becoming a puppy were taken into one of the shelters in the state of Washington. She behaved very differently from the other animals, though. They enjoyed the care and attention of the shelter personnel, were equally drawn to people, and went out of their way to make visitors happy. Roscoe, on the other hand, was exceptional. He didn’t try to interact with the other animals or the shelter staff and remained aloof, showing no delight at their arrival.
Such reaction may have been reasonable if Roscoe had been subjected to maltreatment, but this shelter was maintained by volunteers who were drawn to the job because they loved animals. It was evident that there was something wrong with the dog, so the employees at the shelter set out to figure out what he was trying to conceal. They posted a picture of her on one of their social media accounts.
And an extremely extraordinary occurrence has taken place. When a local farmer saw this advertisement, he immediately got in touch with the shelter. He mentioned that his most beloved animal, who looked a lot like Roscoe, had gone missing three years ago. The proprietor revealed that he had spent the past year looking for a pet but had been unsuccessful in his efforts.
When the man approached the shelter’s enclosure, the dog stopped moving and started sniffing around. After that, he let out a high-pitched screech and launched himself happily at his master’s feet, circling him while wagging his tail. During his time in the shelter, no one saw him in such a predicament, and nobody observed it. When the owner found out that the dog recognized him and was so happy to see him, he was overcome with emotion and could not stop crying.
