A dog in Hawaii who gave his family a little bit of a shock was rewarded with an unconventional place to sit as a result of their efforts. A Twitter user by the name of Alyxah posted some cute photographs of Check’s lookout post and explained how the peculiar doggy edifice came to be. Check’s family had recently moved into their new home, and shortly after they left him alone for the first time, their neighbors were forced to make an unexpected call because Check had climbed onto the roof.
Alyxah shared the following story with Reshareworthy.com: “My boyfriend Nic and his dad built it because they had moved into a new house with a wide lanai that provided access to the roof.” “The first day that they had left their dog alone, they phoned the fire department because he had made his way to the roof to gain a better look and see where we had gone,” says the author. “The dog had climbed up there to see where we had gone.”
The family came up with an alternative solution so they wouldn’t have to completely shut off the roof, and Alyxah posted the images of the cute result on Twitter. She explained what happened next by saying, “So Nic’s dad blocked the access to the roof and created a little lookout for Check so that he can see us go and come home.” “And also for him to be able to lounge around up there during the day.” In addition to that, he finds it entertaining to watch total strangers as they pass by.
