One sweet video of a dog discovering he is going to be adopted has been spreading happiness to people all across the internet in recent months.

Benny was a resident at Gardena, California’s Carson Animal Care Center. According to The Dodo, the Carson Animal Care Center was established in 1961 and is classified as a “high-kill” shelter. For a long time, it appeared that the future of this shy yet affectionate puppy was bleak. The 8-month-old pit bull, on the other hand, managed to win over one particular family who came to the shelter and decided to adopt him.
The shelter’s employees posted on Facebook that “this amazing little dog captivated the hearts of everyone who stopped by his kennel.” Despite his popularity, it wasn’t until one family decided to adopt him that the dog was saved from an unfavorable fate.
“When this loving family opted to take him home, he hit the jackpot,” the shelter’s Facebook post stated. The adoptive family Benny captured the emotional moment he realized he was moving into a new home on tape. That follows Benny’s first apprehension, during which he lingers uncomfortably at the back of his cage.
While other dogs bark joyfully in the background, Benny is anxious about why he is being removed from his cage. Benny, on the other hand, begins wagging his tail fiercely and bouncing with delight when he is put on a leash and led out to meet his new family. Benny is then brought to his owner’s car, struggling to keep his enthusiasm in check.
Benny repeatedly bounces with pleasure and runs laps around his new owners when he is taken out into the outside world. Benny’s new family takes a small break to allow Benny to use the restroom — a much-needed break, given all of the excitement.
Benny’s “Freedom Walk” video has been viewed over 6 million times on Facebook and over 2 million times on YouTube since its release.
