Dogs have the potential to be exceptionally smart, and the skills they may acquire are truly remarkable. Nevertheless, a clever Labrador may take the prize for a skill that was taught to him by his owner. When she tells the dog, “Gin O’Clock,” he goes and gets her a drink every single time!

In a video that was published by the Daily Mail, Janice is shown taking a break from tending to her garden in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, when she decides to go inside and get a drink.

Instead of getting up and going to get the drink herself, the elderly woman 64 years old simply announces that it is “gin o’clock,” and her dog, Bear, runs off to get it! In the video, Janice exclaims that it is “scary” that her dog understands the word “gin,” and then, just a few seconds later, her dog comes back with a can of Tanqueray gin and tonic in his jaws.

After Janice underwent a double hip replacement and was unable to reach down and use a grabbing tool to pick up items for herself, Bear was first taught to pick stuff up and hand them to Janice, the Mirror reports. Even though she is far more mobile today, the training is still useful for a variety of different reasons!

According to the Daily Mail, the dog is responsible for more than just bringing back gin and tonics. They claimed that Janice had told them that the bear will bring her bottles of wine, cider, or beer if she asks for them. See the smart dog in action in the video that follows:
