Why the vast majority of dogs refuse to get wet is something of a dilemma. After all, many of them take pleasure in swimming in water that is on the cooler side, whereas baths are on the warmer side. Wriggling away, whining, and hiding are common behaviors seen in dogs who try to avoid taking a bath. Once they finally give in to the bath and become clean, the situation is endearing despite the fact that it is a touch pitiful.

On the other hand, what you are about to see in this clip is something that has never been seen before and is utterly charming. Unbelievably, this charming Great Dane understands every word that his owner is saying, and he eagerly follows instructions. He is well aware of the significance of the fact that it is now Sunday. If it’s Sunday, then it must be bath time, as his owner tells him in the same tone that he would use with his own child.

When his master calls him, the family dog, Basil, may be found waiting for him outside. He does not require any encouragement and simply ambles down the corridor in the direction of the bathroom. As his owner encourages him to get in the tub, he does so on his own initiative despite the fact that he is well aware of what to do. He would undoubtedly take a bath by himself if he could! What a knowledgeable, obedient, and content dog!
