Pizza, steak, slow-cooked lamb, and bruschetta are among the foods he has prepared, and while these may not sound like particularly amazing culinary achievements, the chef in question isn’t a member of the human race. These dishes are part of the culinary heritage of Chef Crusoe, a five-year-old miniature black and tan Dachshund. The canine chef resides with his owners Ryan and Lauren Beauchesne in Ottawa, Canada, and they describe him as a born chef.

The beautiful dachshund has over 100,000 Facebook fans and his very own award-winning blog, making him quite the celebrity. The young chef, who is five years old, has already made pizza, steak, and slow-cooked lamb, and his video of him making a fantastic bruschetta has gone viral. Even though we gave him a “voice” and he can play many different parts, such Chef Crusoe, Captain Crusoe, and Batdog, he is a personality-packed little dog. We want to think that every post we make manages to express just a little bit of his incredible personality,” Mr. Beauchesne added. After his owners uploaded a video of him cooking, he gained instant popularity.

The canine chef got a book contract in December of last year, and he also has a variety of products available online, such as mugs, T-shirts, bumper stickers, and even a calendar that can be “autographed.” Our favorite creation so far is definitely Crusoe’s recent film of him cooking bruschetta, which features the enchanting Italian voice of Gino D’Acampo. Crusoe’s first recipe, according to Mr. Beauchesne, was for carrot cupcakes, which the kind-hearted dog baked on Valentine’s Day for a special lady.

Crusoe will keep producing his Italian style cuisine videos, and he may even produce more while he is in Italy, Mr. Beauchesne noted. Crusoe was given to the Quebec-born couple when he was just a little puppy, and they have raised him ever since. Crusoe adores cooking anything that uses a lot of butter, cheese, beef, or dairy, according to Mr. Beauchesne.

His tastes are therefore fairly varied. But as you can see, he behaves himself admirably while handling food! Prior to it being finished and served, he won’t eat it. “I couldn’t have wished for a nicer puppy.” We make sure to have fun during photo shoots, and he always cooperates well. He is a natural in front of the camera and has always been very composed and agreeable. “To us, he’s like a son.” We rarely ever spend time alone without him.
