A woman and her dog like trekking together, but they had to move quickly when a mountain lion threatened them. The enormous feline initially attacked the woman, but her dog refused to let her beloved die. The woman survived the horrible situation thanks to the bravery of the dog. However, due to a skull fracture and numerous other wounds, the brave canine was in critical condition afterward. The dog is now being hailed as a hero, and people all over the world are donating to help her recover.

Erin Wilson and Eva, her Belgian Malinois, were walking along the Trinity River in northern California when they were attacked. When a mountain lion pounced at Wilson off-lease, Eva was only a few yards ahead. Wilson summoned Eva after the wild cat scratched her shoulder through her jacket. Wilson’s truck remained visible, but the mountain lion refused to go.

The 55-pound dog charged straight at the mountain lion and crashed into it. Eva was the target of the mountain lion’s attention, but the dog had little chance. The mountain lion eventually buried its teeth into Eva’s head and refused to let go. Wilson recalled, “They battled for a few seconds, and then I heard her start crying.” “That’s when the cat got a hold of her head.”

Wilson made every effort to persuade the mountain lion to let go. She struck the cat with rocks, stones, and even her fists, but it was able to defend itself with its back paws. Wilson dashed back to her pickup, grabbing a tire iron to use against the mountain lion. She also requested the assistance of a driver named Sharon Houston. The mountain lion finally let go of Eva after Wilson beat it up some more. The kitty was then hit with pepper spray, which prompted it to flee.

Eva appeared to be fine at first, but as Wilson examined her more closely, she discovered puncture wounds on her face and blood pouring from her mouth. As a result, she rushed to the emergency veterinarian, which was an hour and a half away. Wilson’s drive was the most stressful of his life. Wilson was worried that Eva wouldn’t make it because she was having convulsions halfway through the drive.

Fortunately, the two made it to the veterinarian, where the staff discovered multiple injuries. Eva had two fractures in her skull, a perforated skull cavity, severe edema near her eye, and several scrapes. She has a long recuperation, but vets are optimistic that she will make it.

Wilson stated, “My dog is my hero, and I owe her my life.” “She loves stuffed animals, so we’re going to get her a bunch of them.” We’ll order a great steak dinner for her. For a while, she’ll be getting all kinds of treats.”

Even while things are looking good for this brave canine, her medical expenses are mounting. Wilson decided to create a GoFundMe campaign to help Eva. People have already donated twice as much as the $7,500 donation goal.
