Pit bulls are unlike any other canine when it comes to caring for others. Despite their nasty rep, they are frequently the most affectionate and considerate dogs around. This was made clearer when a photo of a Pit Bull and a squirrel became popular on Reddit and Instagram.
Everly is a rescue Pit Bull with a wonderful personality. Morgan Joy Groves, her mother, claims that the gentle dog befriends practically everyone, including other animals. A newborn squirrel began hanging out near Everly recently, and the compassionate Pit Bull adopted the small critter as her own.
Groves and Everly were out for a routine walk when they came across the newborn squirrel. He was all alone, poor little fellow. His mother didn’t appear to be nearby, and he seemed to have a strange attraction to Everly. As a result, the squirrel followed Everly home, and the two became fast friends.
Everly sat down to rest for a while after a long trek. The little squirrel climbed on top of her and fell asleep with her, much to her astonishment. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. Her cat sibling was initially dubious, but it was evident that Everly and the squirrel were content.
The squirrel and Everly’s favorite pastime was napping together. The loving Pit Bull always sat next to her squirrel pal, sniffing and grooming him to ensure he was safe and well. Groves shared some cute images of the two on Instagram during their time with the squirrel.
Groves determined that her home was not the best location for a squirrel to grow up after learning all she could about newborn squirrels. Everly was heartbroken when she had to take her new buddy away, but she knew it was for the best. She wanted a professional to assist her in keeping the squirrel healthy.
Everly did an excellent job of entertaining the young squirrel. The loving Pit Bull will always be like a mother to that squirrel in his mind. This touching bond is a fantastic example of how caring dogs, regardless of breed, can be. Check out Everly’s Instagram feed to see more of her travels!
