Samson is a lovely dog, but according to his family, he is socially awkward. When he gets to the dog park, he prefers to be alone and observe rather than participate in the games. When it comes to humanity, he’s the same way. He’s not the kind to be the center of attention during a get-together. He isn’t bashful; he is simply uninterested in playing.

Samson was adopted by Lea with the intention of training him as a medical response service dog. However, as she explains in the video below, he occasionally takes his work “a bit too seriously.” Samson has a hard time just being a dog when he isn’t on duty. That’s the one thing he ought to excel at! Lea was desperate to assist Samson. All dogs are entitled to a happy and fulfilling life.

Samson encountered a cat while traveling with his folks. It was the first time he expressed an interest in another creature. It was the epiphany Lea had been waiting for. Samson saw the kitten through a store window and immediately wanted to go inside and play with her. It’s what Lea refers to as her “a-ha” moment. It was extremely heartwarming to see Samson’s ability to play.

Lea wished to see Samson form social bonds, which he had desperately lacked. She had a solid idea of how she could assist him now. Lea contacted a local rescue group, and Cleo was adopted a few months later. Lea placed Cleo’s carrier in the center of the room and summoned Samson.
Samson sniffed the carrier and burst out laughing! Samson was ecstatic when Lea opened the carrier and took up Cleo. It was as though this tiny kitten had been created particularly for him! Samson struck up an instant bond with Cleo, just as Lea had intended. It was as if they were intended to be together.

Samson didn’t leave Cleo’s side while she settled in. He was itching to cuddle and play with her. He’d pick up her cat toys and put them in front of her as if to say, “Play with me!” They were practically inseparable.
Cleo would be introduced to the vast outdoors by her family. They bought a customized backpack for her to use while they went hiking and worked on training her to walk on a leash. As she peered at this whole new universe, the kitty was wide-eyed. And, of course, Samson was there to ensure Cleo’s safety.

Cleo’s small legs were exhausted as she traveled on these long walks. It’s very understandable! For small Cleo, one stride for a human, and Samson was many strides. She became so exhausted that she refused to walk at one point. Her parents planned to stuff her into her backpack, but then they had another idea. What happens next in this great story is too sweet to pass up.
We’re overjoyed that the socially awkward service dog has finally met his match. Cleo now has the perfect big brother looking out for her, and Samson is no longer a loner. We can’t get enough of these pairs, and neither will you.
