Recently, a Tennessee couple was surprised to find a friendly dog sleeping in their bed when they woke up. They were shocked when they realized so quickly that it wasn’t their dog sleeping in the bed with them.

Jimmy and Julie take care of their three canine children at their home in Ocoee, Tennessee. The fact that they had to get up and find a dog in their bed was a rare occurrence for them. When they woke up on May 1 with a dog in their bed, nothing looked out of the ordinary; however, they quickly recognized that the dog was not one of their own.

Julie published a picture of the unknown dog along with the following caption: “This is the strangest post I have ever been required to write. Is this your family pet? It is not unusual for us to find one of our dogs asleep in the bed when we get up in the morning. The only catch is that It Is not our dog, and we have no idea how the dog came into our house in the first place. At first, we suspected that it was one of ours, but they don’t usually lounge around on the cushions like that! In the total darkness, I simply presumed that it was. We all would, wouldn’t we? As the sun began to shine through our window coverings, we became aware that we had been sharing our bed with another person’s dog.

Following the publication of the article, Julie found out that the dog’s name was Nala and that she lived nearly two miles away. Even though Julie’s initial response to waking up was one of mild alarm, she quickly concluded that Nala is nothing more than a large stuffed animal.
