FreshPet collaborated with three separate animal shelters to provide “the best holiday ever” for a group of homeless canines by giving them a unique holiday treat as part of their “best holiday ever” initiative.

The trip to the dog park was first on the itinerary for the day. The dogs at the shelter were given the opportunity to go on an outing and were transported on a special trolley to a dog park, where they were able to run and play with other dogs as well as interact with people.

That’s not the end of it. After their expedition, guests were treated to a dinner that had been particularly prepared for the Christmas season and included all of the traditional fixings. Before being served a delicious Christmas dinner, each dog was given its own place setting and dressed up in its best festive attire. It appears that the canines enjoyed their meal because they licked every last crumb off their plates.
The fact that six of these lovable, adoptable dogs found new homes during the course of the day was undoubtedly the most memorable moment for all of them. In time for the holidays, Beau, Pudgie, Charlotte, Itsy, and Lilly were all adopted into loving homes thanks to the Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Pennsylvania, Airedale Rescue of Delaware Valley, and Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue in the state of Pennsylvania.
Consider adopting a pet from your community’s animal shelter or rescue group, as is suggested in the movie.
