It’s always nice to see children and pets together. But this one is particularly unusual because it’s not a house dog, but a 125-pound Cane Corso that’s about the size of a tiny pony. The infant and Drax are close friends. Since the dog weighs roughly 100 pounds more than his little human brother, it’s a good thing he’s a gentle giant! They have spent their entire lives together and enjoy doing everything together.

Drax joined the household when he was only 6 weeks old. His human mother soon was expecting her first child. Drax was by her side the entire time as she felt her belly grow along with him. The two were gradually introduced after the baby was born. Due to Drax’s size, the parents carefully monitored the first encounters and trained the dog. But thankfully, parents didn’t need to fear because Drax treated the small newborn with nothing but kindness from the start.

Drax fell in love with the baby right away. He was constantly there, lying at the infant’s feet and keeping an eye on everything his younger sibling did. He even picked up how to roll over when the baby did so he wouldn’t be left out. When the child turned one, Drax had grown to 125 pounds. He believes he is a large lap dog although he is enormous. The infant is pleased to share his toys, especially his ball, and he enjoys playing with all of them. He even gets to go to the park to play because he is such a wonderful kid and acts as though it was also made for him.

Drax and the infant experienced their first Christmas together and got to stand side by side with Santa for the first time. For these two unique buddies, it’s just one of many firsts. They are extremely fortunate to be able to grow up together. They are both very adorable, and their friendship is wonderful. I hope they have a lot of joyful years together to experience life.
